When life hands you lemons...hand them to Selena...
Selena Gomez: I love lemons. It's very odd, I know.
GL: Do you eat them whole?
Selena Gomez: Yeah. [Maria Canals] who plays my mom on the show ('Wizards of Waverly Place')--she says, "How can you eat a whole lemon?" She always says, "It's because you're from Texas, that's why." She always laughs at me, but I love lemons. I just have a whole lemon and put a little salt on it.
GL: Did you just say you put salt on it?
Selena Gomez: Yes.
GL: You put salt on your lemons?
Selena Gomez: Mmm-hmm.
GL: Not sugar?
Selena Gomez: No.
GL: Salt?
Selena Gomez: Salt.
GL: Where did you pick up this habit?
Selena Gomez: It actually started when I did 'Barney.' At lunch, my friend Demi (Lovato) and a bunch of other castmates would put sugar on their lemons, but I didn't like it. It was too sweet. So I put salt on it, and I fell in love with it ever since. Yeah, you cut it in little slices and then just add salt to it.
GL: That is so weird.
Selena Gomez: It's so good.
